New star of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Nick Jonas, headed to the studio last Sunday, February 19, to record a new Broadway cast album of the 50th anniversary revival of the production. The EP will be release by Broadway Records this spring. Robert Sher, a six-time Grammy nominee will produce the new EP. Sher also produced the recent Grammy nominated album featuring Daniel Radcliffe. Executive producers of the EP are Van Dean, Kenny Howard and Ken Mahoney.
Nick Jonas took on the role of J. Pierrepont Finch on January 24, after the show’s short run with Darren Criss. Currently the production features Beau Bridges, Rose Hemingway and Michael Urie. Jonas is contracted with the production through July 1, 2012.
Previously, Jonas has been seen on Broadway in Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast and Annie Get Your Gun, but he best known as the youngest Jonas Brother, part the hit pop/rock band formed with his two brothers.
